Customer statement shows incorrect date

The Statement Period To date on a Customer Statement reverts to a previous date, instead of defaulting to today's date.

Why this is happening

QuickBooks Desktop is displaying the To date based on the date of last transaction entered.

How to fix it

Change the preference for the default date to use for new transactions:

  1. Go to Edit > Preferences
  2. Click the My Preferences tab.
  3. Under Default Date to Use for New Transactions, click on Use today's date as default.
