Customer statement shows incorrect date

The Statement Period To date on a Customer Statement reverts to a previous date, instead of defaulting to today's date.

Why this is happening

QuickBooks Desktop is displaying the To date based on the date of last transaction entered.

How to fix it

Change your default date preference.

  1. From the Edit menu, click Preferences.
  2. Choose General and click My Preferences.
  3. Under the Default Date to Use for New Transactions section, select Use today's date as default.
  4. Click OK to close the Preferences window.
