Wrong report opens when attempting to print or preview

While printing a Report or Memorized Report, either a different or incorrect report previews or prints, or the wrong window opens when printing.

How to fix it

Intuit recommends more than one solution for this problem. The first solution may solve your problem, or you may need to try all of them to resolve the issue. For best results, perform the solutions in the order shown.

Solution 1: Run Reboot.bat

Solution 2:  Reset the QuickBooks Desktop updates.

  1. Click on the Help from the menu.
  2. Click on Update QuickBooks from the drop down menu.
  3. Click on Update Now.
  4. Click the button next to Reset Update.
  5. Click on Get Updates.
  6. Click OK on the message regarding downloading the entire update.
  7. When the update completes close QuickBooks and reopen QuickBooks.
  8. Your correct reports should open and print correctly.

 Solution 3:  Re-sort five primary lists in your data file.


Test the Report or Memorized report at this time.  If the issue persists, use standard data damage troubleshooting.
