When attempting to set up manual payroll and selecting Set your company file to use the manual payroll calculations setting, nothing happens.
Intuit recommends more than one solution for this problem. The first solution may solve your problem, or you may need to try both of them to resolve the issue. For best results, perform the solutions in the order shown.
Solution 1: Update to latest release
Solution 2: Verify Internet Explorer version
If you are still unable to get the manual payroll activation to complete after completing the software update, you may need to verify the version of Internet Explorer you have installed on your PC.
Some components of Internet Explorer 9 are incompatible with QuickBooks and may prevent the normal function of certain process in the software. Rolling back to a previously installed version of Internet Explorer may alleviate this issue, and the process to perform a rollback can be found here.
