When going to File > Utilities > Configure QODBC, you see the following error even though you have the read-only version of the driver:
Error: QODBC Evaluation license has expired
A conflicting driver has been installed and QuickBooks is reading that the license has expired. Just reinstalling the driver does not reset this in the system.
Important: If you do not see QODBC on the programs list:
Right-click the Windows Start button and choose Open Windows Explorer.
Navigate in the left window to the following location:
32-bit: C:\Program Files\Intuit\QuickBooks Enterprise Solutions XX\Components\QODBC
64-bit: C:\Program Files (x86)\Intuit\QuickBooks Enterprise Solutions XX\Components\QODBC
Double-click the file UNWISE32.exe.
Select Automatic and then click Next.
