Windows cut, copy and paste functions have stopped working in QuickBooks Desktop

You are unable to use the Windows functions to Cut (Ctrl+X), Copy (Ctrl+C) and Paste (Ctrl+V) in QuickBooks Desktop.

How to fix it
  1. Close QuickBooks Desktop.
  2. Right-click the Windows tool bar and click Open Task Manager.
  3. Click the Processes tab, then click the Image Name title bar to re-order the list.
  4. Right-click each process that begins with QB and click End Process until no QB processes are displayed, then close Task Manager.
  5. Run reboot.bat.
  6. Open the version of QuickBooks Desktop you had issues with. The Windows Cut (Ctrl+X), Copy (Ctrl+C) and Paste (Ctrl+V) functions should now work.

Repeat steps 2 through 6 for each year of QuickBooks Desktop where the Windows Cut (Ctrl+X), Copy (Ctrl+C) and Paste (Ctrl+V) functions don't work.
