Profit & Loss Budget Performance shows inactive accounts with budget amounts

The Profit  & Loss Budget Performance for a specific date range displays inactive accounts with amounts in the budget and YTD Budget totals.

How to fix it

Activate the account in the chart of accounts.

  1. Click on List > Chart of Accounts.
  2. Click on Include inactive at the bottom of the window.
  3. Right click on the account that is showing up on the report and choose Make Account Active.

Edit the budget and remove all amounts for the inactive accounts.

  1. Click on Company 
  2. Click on Planning & Budgeting > Set up Budgets.
  3. Choose the account that should be inactive and highlight the dollar amount that needs to be removed.
  4. Hit Delete on your keyboard.
  5. Click Save > Ok.
  6. Now the Profit & Loss Budget Performance report should be correct after refreshing report.
