When starting computer or trying to open QuickBooks Desktop, the following error can occur:
There Is No Disk in the Drive. Please Insert a Disk into Drive \Device\harddisk\Dr1
Intuit recommends more than one solution for this problem. The first solution may solve your problem, or you may need to try all of them to resolve the issue. For best results, perform the solutions in the order shown.
Note: This error has been identified as a Microsoft issue and is not caused by Intuit or their software.
Important: Please consult any System Administrator or IT Expert if you need further assistance with renaming the drives and don't feel comfortable performing these steps.
The drive letter assignment for the removable drive needs to be a letter other than C.
Go to Microsoft Knowledge Article #330137 to rename the Drive.
Perform a Windows Update.
