Attachments show an added date from the past in the Document Center

When viewing attachments in the Document Center, the attachment dates in the Added column may show a date from 1933.


What you can try now

Re-create the Attach folder and Clean up Attachment Links

  1. Close QuickBooks.
  2. Locate the Attach folder which is in the same location as the company file.
    • Press F2 on your keyboard to open the Product Information window if you need to find the location of the company file.
  3. Backup the Attach folder by making a copy of it on to the Desktop.
  4. Right click on the original Attach folder and rename it to Attach.old
  5. Create a new folder and name it Attach.
  6. Open Attach.old.  Go to Edit > Select All.
  7. Edit > Copy, then open the new Attach folder and go to Edit > Paste.
  8. Close all open windows and open QuickBooks.
  9. Go to Company > Documents > Clean Up Attachment Links and follow the on screen instructions.
  10. Verify the dates are now showing  correctly in the Document Center and delete the backup of the Attach folder remaining on the Desktop.
