When working in Write Checks, Reconcile, or when opening Preferences, QuickBooks for Mac may become sluggish, quit responding, or you may get the following message:
QuickBooks has quit unexpectedly.
QuickBooks is having difficulty rendering the graphics required in these, or other windows. There might be a conflict in your company toolbar or your Display preferences may be set too low. This happens most frequently on a laptop computer with a small screen.
Step 1: Update to the latest release
Go to the Update to the Latest Release web page.
IMPORTANT: Make sure your product is selected. If not, click the Change link and select your QuickBooks product.
Select and follow the instructions for one of the update options:
Step 2: Restart the computer and try again.
