Error: When creating an online bill payment no delivery date appears

When using online bill payment, no delivery date auto-fills. Also, there is no calendar button to select a delivery date. 
Why this is happening

This issue may be caused by account damage in the QuickBooks Desktop Company File database. 

How to fix it

To resolve this issue, you will need to create a new account.. You will then merge this new account with the existing damaged account.

  1. Disable Online Services for the original damaged bank account in QuickBooks Desktop.
    Note: If you get an error disabling online services there may be transactions still existing for the account .
  2. Create a new bank account in the Chart of Accounts.  You can give it any name you like, as this name will only be temporary. 
  3. Merge the old banking account with the new banking account.
  4. Set up the new merged account for Online Banking again.
  5. Create the online payment again. This time the option to set the delivery date should work normally.
