.NET Framework Initialization Error, when starting Windows

 When you start your system you receive the following error message:

.NET Framework Initialization Error

This message is typically due to one of the following executables:

  • IntuitDataProtect.exe
  • IntuitSyncManager.exe
Why this is happening

 This error is generated for one of the following reasons:

  • .NET Framework 4.0 is not installed
  • .NET Framework 4.0 is damaged.


How to fix it

Solution:  Check if .NET Framework 4.0 is installed.


  1. Open the Start menu and select Control Panel.
  2. Select Programs and Features.
  3. Search the list of installed programs for Microsoft .NET Framework 4.0.
