Intuit Sync Manager error code 5_5459




While performing a data sync with Intuit Sync Manager you receive a message with Error code 5_5459

Error Category: Error During Upload

Error Message: Unable to Sync your data.

Why is this happening

This error is cause by a damaged QuickBooks transaction log file.

How to fix it




Solution: Rename the Transaction log file (.tlg)
  1. Close all QuickBooks instances that are accessing the company file.
  2. Use Windows Explorer to open the folder where your company file is located.
  3. Rename .qbw.tlg to .qbw.tlg.old  - where is the name of your company file.
  4. Delete the folder _logs from the same location.
  5. Open QuickBooks and log into your company file.
  6. Open Intuit Sync Manager and click the Sync now button.
