Intuit Sync Manager error 17_7002

While attempting to sync company data with Intuit Sync Manager you get the message There was a problem while uploading your data - Unable to Sync Your Data.

When you click the more info link you see error code 17_7002.

Error Message: There was a problem while uploading your data

Error Catagory: Sync could not be completed.



Why this is happening

This error indicates that Intuit Sync Manager settings file is damaged or missing.

NOTE: This error does not indicate that there is damaged or missing data in QuickBooks.

How to fix it

Solution: Repair Intuit SyncManager folder

  1. Exit out of Intuit Sync Manager
  2. Locate the Sync Manager folder and rename it
  • Windows 7 or Vista: C:\Users\\AppData\Local\Intuit\SyncManager
  • Windows XP: C:\Documents And Settings\\Local Settings\Application Data\Intuit\SyncManager


Note: This directory could be hidden, depending on your folder settings. If you have trouble finding the file, follow these instructions.

Restart Intuit Sync Manager: This step will repair the Sync Manager folder.

  1. Log into QuickBooks as the Company Admin.
  2. From the QuickBooks Online Services (Solutions) Menu select Manage Services then Launch Intuit Sync Manager
  3. Open Intuit Sync Manager and click the Sync Now button
