Sign in page does not display when you set up Intuit Sync Manager

You attempt to set up Intuit Sync Manager, but the sign in page does not display.

Why this is happening

This typically happens because the Company Name field in the Company Information is blank or contains special characters or symbols in addition to numbers and letters.

If you have recently converted your file from a different version of QuickBooks, it is possible that the Company Name field was left blank during the conversion process or that some extraneous symbols or special characters were added.  In some cases, this can also occur if you are using QuickBooks Pro Plus or QuickBooks Premier Plus.

It is also possible that the sign in page opened behind your QuickBooks application.  Before proceeding to the How to fix it section, minimize QuickBooks (and other windows) to see if the sign in page has opened behind other active windows.

How to fix it

Solution: Add a company name to the QuickBooks Company Information

  1. In QuickBooks, choose Company, then select Company Information.
  2. Enter a business name in the Company Name field, then click OK.
    1.  If there is already a name there and it includes any special characters or symbols, remove them.
  3. Set up Intuit Sync Manager.
