When trying to sync a QuickBooks file you see the following error message:
Error 17_7026: QuickBooks Application with invalid certificate
When you go back into QuickBooks and try to add the sync manager to integrated applications in preferences, you receive this error:
QuickBooks - Application with Invalid Certificate
An application with an invalid certificate is request access to the following QuickBooks company file: [company file name]
Access may include reading and modifying QuickBooks data as well as enhancing the QuickBooks user interface.
The Application Calls Itself: Intuit Sync Manager
Certificate Information: The certificate is invalid
QuickBooks will not allow an application with an invalid certificate to access your company file.
This can happen if the root Verisign certificate is missing on the computer.
To fix the issue, you must install the following root certificate on your computer:
VeriSign Class 3 Primary CA - G5
Description: The root CA is the root used for VeriSign Extended validation certificates and should be included in root stores.
Solution: Install the Root 3 VeriSign Class 3 Primary CA - G5 certificate.
Now you should be able to sync successfully.
