    3. Select and follow the instructions for one of the update options:
      • Click the Update button to download the update file.
      • Click Setup Automatic Updates to learn how to set QuickBooks to automatically download and install the latest updates.
  2. Open the folder where QuickBooks is installed:
    1. Right-click the QuickBooks icon shortcut on your desktop.
    2. Scroll down to Properties and select Open File Location

Note: If QuickBooks does not have a shortcut on your desktop, you will need to right click the QuickBooks icon in your Start Menu

  1. Locate and right-click the MSHTML.DLL file (2011) or MICROSOFT.MSHTML.DLL (2012) and select Rename.
  2. Rename the file to OLDMSHTML.dll.
  3. Open QuickBooks and try saving the PDF again.

If you continue to experience this issue, you will need to uninstall Internet Explorer 9. If you are not comfortable with the process of rolling back your browser, please consult with a local IT professional for assistance.
