Under the Back Up status box on the Quickbooks Desktop home page, the status shows "File not part of Intuit Data Protect," and your company file is not listed in your backup list.
It is possible that you have not yet backed up this company file.
If you are seeing this with a company file that you have previously backed up with Intuit Data Protect, it is possible that it is backing up a copy of the file and not the original file.
Solution: Use the IDP Cleaner tool to clear the cache and the MRU (most recently used files) list.
Important: If you see an Internet Explorer error when you click the link for the IDP Cleaner Tool, please right click the link, select Save Target As, and save the .exe file to your desktop. You can then run the tool from there.
