FedEx Shipping Manager error when shipping two or more packages to a customer

When you create a shipment in QuickBooks FedEx Shipping Manager that contains two or more packages you receive the following error:
  • FedEx server returned error:Master Tracking Number failed validation for multi-piece notification or multi-piece shipment (127C)
The FedEx Shipping Manager account in QuickBooks has become damaged and information for multi-piece shipments can not be verified by the FedEx server.
How to fix it

Delete the FedEx Shipping Manager account and create the account again:

  1. Make a backup of your company file to your computer's desktop
  2. From the QuickBooks File menu, select Shipping > FedEx Shipping Options > Settings
  3. Click the Delete Account button in the Shipping Manager Settings window
    • Shipping History will be saved for when the account is set up again
  4. Click OK button on the screen prompts that follow
    • The FedEx Shipping Manager Setup Wizard will automatically come up when account has been deleted
  5. Confirm company information and enter FedEx Account number to set up the FedEx Shipping Manager account
  6. You will now be able to create and print labels for multi-piece shipments from FedEx Shipping Manager
