Multiple Currency Drop Down List is Blank (No Currencies are listed)

In the Multiple Currency Preference, the "No, I only use one currency" option is selected, but the drop down menu is blank or does not show US Dollar.
If you attempt to select "Yes, I use more than one currency", the drop down menu remains blank and will not allow the creation of a new currency.
How to fix it
This can occur if Quickbooks was installed while the computer's Regional and Language Settings were set to anything other than English (United States).
To correct this issue, it is necessary to uninstall QuickBooks and reinstall it, making sure that the computer's Regional and Language Settings are set to English (United States).
