When you try to Activate QuickBooks Desktop, a window comes up with the message “Set up your Intuit Account.” By logging into your Intuit Account to activate QuickBooks Desktop, the activation process will be more accurate and will tie directly to your existing information at Intuit.
The Intuit Account Login can be used to log in to multiple websites. For more information on this, and to see if you have one, click here. The activation screen in QuickBooks Desktop gives you the option to either activate using an existing Intuit Account or create a new one.
If you have an existing Intuit Account:
In some cases QuickBooks Desktop will prompt you to enter a validaton code to activate.
If you see this screen when registering you will need to contact QuickBooks Customer Service at one of the numbers listed.
