Error: "Object Variable or with Block Variable not set" trying to sync Microsoft Outlook with QuickBooks using QuickBooks Contact Sync

When trying to synchronize contacts between Microsoft Outlook and QuickBooks Desktop using QuickBooks Contact Sync, the following error is displayed:

Error: "Object Variable or with Block Variable not set".
This issue has been fixed in the latest version of QuickBooks Contact Sync. Please download and install the latest version of QuickBooks Contact Sync after uninstalling the version currently located on your computer.
Solution Description

Uninstall the old version of Contact Sync

  1. On your keyboard, press Windows + R to open the Run window.
  2. Type in Control Panel and click OK.
  3. Double click Add or Remove Programs.
  4. Right click QuickBooks Contact Sync and select Remove.

 

Install the new release of QuickBooks Contact Sync

  1. Download the latest version of QuickBooks Contact Sync to your desktop.
  2. Double click the quickbooks_contact_sync.exe file.
  3. Follow the on screen installation instructions.

After installation, double click the QuickBooks Icon on the Microsoft Outlook toolbar and select About QuickBooks Contact Sync and confirm that the version is 3.0.147.
