Message: This account has downloaded transactions which have not been added to the register

When trying to download new transactions through the Bank Feeds Center, the bank account does not appear in the accounts drop-down. In the Chart of Accounts the bank shows as enabled for Bank Feeds, but when trying to disable online services or import via Web Connect, the message appears:  This account has downloaded transactions which have not been added to the register.

Note: Bank Feeds is referred to as Online Banking in all QuickBooks 2013 and earlier products.

How to fix it
Using the Bank Feeds Classic Mode (Register Mode), match any outstanding transactions for any other accounts, then delete the statements if necessary.
 
Step 1: Switch to Bank Feeds Classic Mode (Register Mode).
    1. Ensure your QuickBooks is updated to the latest release.
    2. Ensure you are in single-user mode.
    3. From the Edit menu, go to Preferences.
    4. In the left pane, choose Checking then click the Company Preferences tab.
    5. In the Bank Feeds section, select Classic mode.

    6. Click Ok.
Step 2: Match any outstanding transactions for any other accounts, then delete the statements if necessary.
    1. Create a backup of the company file.
    2. From the Banking menu, click Bank Feeds > Bank Feeds Center.
    3. Under Items received from financial institution, select a statement and click View.
    4. Match any outstanding transactions, then click Done.
    5. If some transactions could not be matched, the statement will remain in the Bank Feeds Center. With the statement still selected, click Delete to remove it from the Bank Feeds Center.
    6. Repeat steps 4 and 5 for any other statements showing.
    7. Close the Bank Feeds Center.
    8. Open the Bank Feeds Center and attempt to download the statement again.
