Deposits are not Showing in the Check Register

New deposits are not “flowing” to the register of the bank account it was deposited to.


Solution Description

Create a new Bank account and merge the old Bank account into the new one.


  1. From the List menu, select Chart of Accounts.
  2. Left-click on Account button in the lower left corner.
  3. Left-click on new.
  4. Choose Bank as the account type.
  5. Left-click on the Continue button.
  6. In the Account Name field enter the name of the original bank account followed by 2.
  7. Left-click on Save & Close.
  8. Right-click on the original Bank account.
  9. Left-click on Edit Account.
  10. In the Account Name field add a 2 after the account name.
  11. Left-click on Save & Close.
  12. You will be asked to merge the accounts.
  13. Select Yes.
  14. Right-click on the new Bank account.
  15. Left-click on Edit Account.
  16. In the Account Name field remove the 2 after the account name.
  17. Left-click on Save & Close.
  18. Deposits should now show in the Bank account.
