Problem Printing Transactions to HP Printer

When printing to an HP printer, you may hear a quiet beep without anything happening after the beep.  This may be caused by inappropriate printer driver settings.
Solution Description
To resolve this issue, perform the following steps:

Microsoft Windows Vista:
  1. Click the Microsoft Windows Start button and select Control Panel.
  2. On the Control Panel Home, find the Hardware and Sound section and select Printer.
  3. If you are using the Classic View, double-click on the Printers icon.
  4. Right click on the HP Printer, select Properties.
  5. Click the Advanced tab, Select Spool print documents so program finishes printing faster.
  6. Clear the check box labeled Enable advanced printing features.
  7. Select Print directly to the printer.
  8. Click Apply and then click OK.
Microsoft Windows 10/8 and 7:
  1. On your keyboard, press the Windows logo+R. The Run dialog box opens.
  2. Enter Control then click OK. The Control Panel window opens.
  3. On the Control Panel Home, find the Hardware and Sound section and select Devices and Printers.

This solution may apply to a variety of printers.

Additional Notes - Damaged drivers can cause this issue. Uninstalling and reinstalling the printer driver (perhaps with newer version), may be required if the above solution did not work.
