Changing a report header changes all of the reports in QuickBooks Desktop

If you notice that all of your reports have a custom header, then you may have set it as a default setting.

Note: This does not affect memorized reports, only new reports created from the Reports menu in QuickBooks Desktop.

Solution description
  1. From the Edit menu, select Preferences.
  2. On the left pane, select Reports & Graphs then go to the Company Preferences tab.
  3. Click the Format button.
Note: If the Format button is grayed out, uncheck the Default formatting for reports check box.
  4. Uncheck the Report Title box then click OK.

You should no longer see the custom header in new reports going forward. This preference overrides the defaults for each report, so if you change something in the preference window, it will affect all reports (except memorized reports).
