When attempting to email a transaction or report through QuickBooks, the following error occurs:
.dll not found. An error occurred when trying to communicate with QuickBooks.
Intuit recommends more than one solution for this problem. The first solution may solve your problem, or you may need to try all of them to resolve the issue. For best results, perform the solutions in the order shown.
Running the reboot.bat file re-registers QuickBooks-related .DLL and .OCX files in Microsoft Windows. If you are still getting the same error, please proceed to solution 2.
There are two ways to get the Data1.cab:
Normally if you download the QuickBooks installer from Intuit website, the installation files will be extracted to your Temp folder C:\Users\User_Name\AppData\Local\Temp.
Each version of QuickBooks Desktop has a unique folder name in the temp folder. Note that rX is equal to release version of QuickBooks.
If you are still getting the same error, please proceed to solution 3.
By performing clean installation of QuickBooks, you are reinstalling QuickBooks Desktop on a brand new folder but in the same default location.
