.dll not found. An error occurred when trying to communicate with QuickBooks.
Intuit recommends more than one solution for this issue. The first step may resolve this issue. For best result, please follow the steps in order shown below.
Running the reboot.bat file re-registers QuickBooks-related .DLL and .OCX files in Microsoft Windows. If you are still getting the same error, please proceed to solution 2.
There are two ways to get the Data1.cab:
Normally if you download the QuickBooks installer from Intuit website, the installation files will be extracted to your Temp folder C:\Users\User_Name\AppData\Local\Temp.
Each version of QuickBooks has a unique folder name in the temp folder:
Note: rX is equals to release version of QuickBooks
If you are still getting the same error, please proceed to solution 3.
By performing clean installation of QuickBooks, you are reinstalling QuickBooks on a brand new folder but in the same default location.
