Message: "No new transactions" when importing web connect file in QuickBooks

When importing a Web Connect file (.qbo) downloaded from a financial institution's web site you receive the following message:

Why this is happening

You may receive this message for a number of reasons:

  • The Web Connect file doesn't contain any new transactions.
  • The transactions have already been imported.
  • Your QuickBooks company file may be damaged.
  • You imported a QuickStatement with a longer date range, then attempted to re-import a statement for dates within that range.
How to fix it

Intuit recommends 4 solutions for this problem. The first solution may solve your problem, or you may need to try all of them to resolve the issue. For best results, perform the solutions in the order shown.
