In multi-user mode, a problem occurs when making a change to a shared file

Most likely, a problem occurred when your copy of QuickBooks was trying to connect to QuickBooks Server, so the change wasn’t made.

How to fix it

On the computer running QuickBooks Server, be sure the company file is being shared. On your computer, open the shared file again and try making the change.


If you’re still seeing the problem, call Intuit Customer Care and tell the agent you are seeing the error “TalkingStickClientProtocolError.”
