While you are setting up or trying to use Intuit Data Protect (IDP), you see a blank white screen after you click the Activate link on the home page.
Note: You might see a black or transparent screen instead.
Intuit recommends 2 solutions for this problem. The first solution may solve your problem, or you may need to try both to resolve the issue. For best results, perform the solutions in the order shown.

If you still see the blank, white, black, or transparent screen, proceed to Solution 2.
The IDP Cleaner tool used in the following process is designed to reset the registry for Intuit Data Protect and resolve some backup issues. It fixes damaged and broken links in the in the user interface.
The IDP Cleaner Tool clears the cache and any IDP registry entries. It does not make any registry changes that are not directly related to IDP.
To use the IDP Cleaner Tool:
Important: If you see an Internet Explorer error when you click the link for the IDP Cleaner Tool, please right click the link, select Save Target As, and save the .exe file to your desktop.
