Error: You do not have sufficient permissions to delete files... after installing QuickBooks update

After installing QuickBooks Desktop update, you see this error message:

You do not have sufficient permissions to delete files in the specified folder.

Why this is happening

After you install a QuickBooks Desktop update, the antivirus or firewall software installed on the computer may need to be reconfigured to allow QuickBooks to communicate over the network and with the QuickBooks Desktop company file location.

How to fix it

Intuit recommends 2 solutions for this problems. The first solution may solve your problem, or you may need to try both to resolve the issue. For best results, perform the solutions in the order shown.
