Connection wizard displays when starting Point of Sale

When starting Point of Sale, the Database Connection wizard displays, but following the wizard steps does not open the company data file.

Why this is happening
  • Firewall software blocking access to the company file.
  • Network settings may be improperly configured.
  • Point of Sale may not be installed correctly.
  • Regional settings in Windows may be incorrect.
How to fix it

Before doing the following steps, close all programs, turn off your computer for 15 seconds and turn it back on. Check for any loose network cables. If the issue persists, use these steps:
