Allow online payment is checked even though it was disabled on prior invoice

In a prior invoice, the option to Allow online payment was disabled, but when you create a new invoice, the option is enabled automatically.

Why this is happening

The correct settings are not being saved to the qbw.ini file. You can resolve this issue by editing the qbw.ini file manually.

How to fix it
  1. Open My Computer.
  2. Location of qbw.ini.
    Navigate to C:\ProgramData\Intuit\QuickBooks 20xx).
  3. Open the qbw.ini for editing.
  4. Locate the line MarkInvEmailsForPayment=Y and change Y to N.
  5. From the File menu, click Save.
  6. From the File menu, select Exit.
  7. Restart QuickBooks.
  8. The option to Allow online payment will no longer re-enable automatically.
