Intense usage on several workstations can cause a temporary shortage of resources. If it is not possible to replicate the error, then you probably have experienced low resources.
Please be aware that chronic low system resources are a possible cause of data file damage. If you are experiencing low resources, then please consider upgrading your local machine or network to prevent possible data file damage in the future.
Error C=88 may occur while you are working on QuickBooks or while verifying data within a company file. This error occurs when there is some form of data problem in the company file.
