When attempting to download a program or update, you see this message:
This error can occur if:
Intuit recommends more than one solution for this problem. The first solution may solve your problem, or you may need to try all of them to resolve the issue. For best results, perform the solutions in the order shown.
If QuickBooks Desktop or computer has not been restarted since the issue was first observed, restart both.
Test your connection by opening the Financial Institution Directory:
From the Banking menu, select Bank Feeds.
Chose Available Financial Institutions (or Participating Financial Institutions depending on you QuickBooks Desktop version).
If the Financial Institution Directory appears, QuickBooks Desktop successfully accessed one of Intuit's online services.
NOTE: It may be necessary to reset QuickBooks updates before attempting the above.
When you download an update, the updates are stored in special files that may not have installed correctly or may become corrupt.
