When trying to open a company file, you receive an unrecoverable error with the following codes (other codes may also appear).
There are several possible reasons for this error:
Intuit recommends more than one for this problem. The first solution may solve your problem, or you may need to try all to resolve the issue. For best results, perform the solutions in the order shown.
Important: Ensure that your QuickBooks Desktop is up to date before you follow the steps shown below.
If your file opens successfully, disconnect your mapped drive and create a new mapped drive to the folder your company file is stored in.
If you still encounter the error, go to solution 2.
If the error still occurs, go to solution 3.
If you still encounter the error, you will need to repair your QuickBooks Desktop installation.
