Accept Client Collaborator invitation from your accountant

Critical notice: the Client Collaborator feature in QuickBooks Desktop will be discontinued on June 30th, 2017.

Your accountant may have sent you an invitation Client Collaborator in QuickBooks 2014. This new feature will allow you and your accountant to connect in 3 easy steps. After you're connected, you can simply click the conversation icon to review questions your accountant has on transaction in your company file. When you're ready, Client Collaborator sends a single email notifying your accountant of pending questions and instructs them on how to respond. The entire conversation thread of all questions asked and answered is carried out on Intuit's secure servers.

Detailed instructions

You will receive and email from your accountant with the subject: Request to use Client Collaborator with your company. Please follow these simple steps to connect with me via Client Collaborator:

  1. Open your QuickBooks Company file.
  2. Go to the Company Menu and select View Conversation List.
  3. Sign in to your Intuit Account.
  4. Click Send to accept your accountants invitation.
    • Note: Clicking send will now send an email confirmation to your accountant.

  5. Your accountant must now accept your confirmation to begin using Client Collaborator.
