A: Intuit has implemented Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) across all of our products to protect your account and ensure only you have access to your data. As part of this, when you sign-in or when you make a change to your account information (such as email, password, user ID) you may be required to use a one-time confirmation code to complete the process. Q: How do I change my phone number and/or email address?
A: You will be able to update this information after you're able to enter your one-time confirmation code. If you no longer have access to the email on file, you can request to change your email by providing proof of identity. Get started.

There are a few different email addresses associated with your payments account. Each one receives different kinds of messages:

Choose Account > Login & Merchant Accounts.
Your User ID is typically your email address. If your existing User ID is not an email address, you'll see a User ID field in addition to the Email Address field.
How does Intuit use this email address?
If you see only an Email Address field and no User ID field, you use this email address to sign in to Intuit products and services, including the online service center. This email address is also important to your account's security. Intuit sends all access-related emails to this address, which is your Intuit Account email address. Click the Change Password link.
Enter your current password, then enter your new password, confirm it, and click Save.
From now on, sign in to the Merchant Service Center (and other Intuit sites and products) with your new password.
Choose Account > Account Profile.
