Manage Transaction Security Settings in the Merchant Service Center

Step-by-step instructions for managing Address Verification Services (AVS) and/or Card Security Code (CSC) settings in the Merchant Service Center for eCommerce.

Note: If you use an Innovative Gateway (IGS) or Authorize.net account as your payment gateway, the settings presented here will not affect card acceptance for those account types.

Detailed instructions
  1. Begin by accessing the Security and Alerts section. There are two ways to do this:
    • Click on the Account drop-down menu at the top and select Settings & Alerts.
    • Click the Security & Alerts link on the homepage, in the box labeled Account.

  1. There will be a box labeled Transaction Security Settings. It says "To change your transaction security settings for this account, click here." Click here.

  2. You will receive a confirmation that the change has been successfully applied. Click OK.

NOTE: In order for these settings to work properly, verify with your shopping cart provider that they have the same settings on their end.
