Transactions in QuickBooks Desktop are not always entered with the date they were recorded. There may be times when a transaction was entered with a date far in the past or future from the actual date it was entered into QuickBooks Desktop. It may be beneficial to view a report that will show any transactions that were literally entered on a specific date regardless of the date used on the actual transaction.
Run a custom transaction detail report and filter it for the correct criteria.
This gives you a report for all transactions entered on the specific date or date range chosen. Add additional filters, as needed, to refine the report.
NOTE: In QuickBooks for Mac, click the Filters Icon on the Icon Bar to open the Report Filters window. Check or uncheck a filter to add or delete it. Click Apply and close the window to save the changes.
