You have restored a backup copy of your company file on a new computer and the Loan Manager or Fixed Asset Manager are missing information, your customized forms are missing the logo or layouts, and other related files or data do not appear to be updated.
In QuickBooks Desktop, the backup process includes files that are related to the company .qbw file, and are stored in a special folder during the restore process. To restore those related files, follow the steps in the Detailed instructions section
NOTE: These related files are not automatically restored to prevent the possibility of overwriting other existing related files that you may want to keep.
To bring these files into the restored company file, you must manually copy them into the appropriate directory and overwrite any existing default templates and files created by other users, as appropriate.
NOTE: Only the files that existed on the computer where the backup was created can be restored.
To restore these related files to your restored company file:
The Restored_[Company Name]_Files folder can contain any of the following files that need to be copied manually:
