You can find the Intuit Sync Manager icon in your system tray.
There are a few different ways to restore the icon if you don't see it there.
The first time you upload your QuickBooks data to one of an Intuit online service, the Intuit Sync Manager appears in your system tray. This is usually located in the lower-right corner of your desktop.
If you don't see the Sync Manager icon, then one of the following reasons is probably the cause.
If you have received an invitation, ask your QuickBooks administrator to handle and troubleshoot the sync process.
All syncs will happen with the QuickBooks company file located on the administrator's computer. Only your administrator has Sync Manager running on their machine, and Sync Manager will appear only while the administrator is logged in to Windows.
If this is the case, do the following:
The Intuit Sync Manager is now enabled on your computer, and the Sync Manager icon appears in your system tray.
You should normally keep the Intuit Sync Manager running in your system tray so it can handle ongoing syncs, but if you've exited the Sync Manager, you can restart it.
In QuickBooks, open a company file enabled for sync and do one of the following:
Option 1: Launch Sync Manager from within QuickBooks
If you prefer, you can launch the Intuit Sync Manager from the Left Navigation bar:
Option 2: Go to C:\Program Files\Common Files\Intuit\Sync and double-click IntuitSyncManager.exe.
Option 3: If double-clicking the file doesn't open Sync Manager and restore the icon, then right-click IntuitSyncManager.exe and select Run as Administrator.
If none of the preceding actions restores the icon, you may need to exit QuickBooks and restart your computer.
