Repairing a QuickBooks installation in Windows Vista or Windows XP

How to fix the problem
| Run the Windows Repair utility. . If you installed QuickBooks from
a CD, make sure you have the installation CD available in case the
repair utility prompts you to insert it. . If you installed
QuickBooks from a download, any files the repair utility needs are
already on your hard drive. |

Detailed Instructions
| Repair the QuickBooks
installation Important: You must be logged in as a Windows
Administrator to perform these steps. Follow the instructions for your operating system:
- Windows Vista:
- Close QuickBooks.
- Click the Windows Logo button and click Control
Panel.
- From Control Panel Home, click Uninstall a program.
- Right-click your QuickBooks program version and click
Uninstall/Change.
- Follow the instructions to Repair your QuickBooks
installation and then open QuickBooks.
- Windows XP or Windows 2000:
- Close QuickBooks.
- Click the Windows Start button and click Control
Panel.
- Double-click Add or Remove Programs.
- Right-click your QuickBooks program version and click
Change/Remove.
- Follow the instructions to Repair your QuickBooks
installation, and then open QuickBooks.
