Setting access permissions for QuickBooks in Microsoft Windows Vista and Windows 7

The following instructions apply to Microsoft Windows Vista and Windows 7.

To set permissions for QuickBooks in Microsoft Windows Vistaand Windows 7:

1. Locate and select the shared folder.
2. On the toolbar, click Share.
3. In the File Sharing window:
   1. Click Choose people to share with.
   2. Click the drop-down arrow to the right of the text box and select Everyone.
   3. Click Add.
4. Under Permission Level, click the drop-down arrow next to the permission level for Everyone and select Co-owner.
5. Click Share. . A confirmation message appears, stating that the folder is shared.
6. Click Done.
