Setting access permissions for QuickBooks in Microsoft Windows Vista

The following instructions apply to Microsoft Windows Vista Home Basic, Home Premium, Business, Enterprise, and Ultimate editions.

To set permissions for QuickBooks in Microsoft Windows Vista:

1. Locate and select the shared folder.
2. On the toolbar, click Share.
3. In the File Sharing window:
   1. Click Choose people to share with.
   2. Click the drop-down arrow to the right of the text box and select Everyone.
   3. Click Add.
4. Under Permission Level, click the drop-down arrow next to the permission level for Everyone and select Co-owner.
5. Click Share. . A confirmation message appears, stating that the folder is shared.
6. Click Done.
