Reverting to Microsoft Internet Explorer 6.0

Overview
QuickBooks 2005 and earlier versions require Internet Explorer 6.0. .
How to fix the problem
To enable Internet Explorer 6.0, you must first uninstall Internet Explorer 7.0. .
Detailed Instructions

To revert back to Internet Explorer 6.0:

  1. Close QuickBooks.
  2. Click the Windows Start button and then click Control Panel (if you use Windows classic view, click the Windows Start button, click Settings, and then click Control Panel).
  3. Double-click Add or Remove Programs.
  4. Scroll down to find Windows Internet Explorer 7.0, select it, and click Remove.
  5. Shut down your computer and then restart it.

Your system (and QuickBooks) will now use Internet Explorer 6.0.
