About setting up multi-user QuickBooks

  1. Go to the computer where the company file is located.

    Perform all setup steps on the computer where the company file is located.

  2. Install QuickBooks.

    If you purchased a multi-user value pack

    During installation, you will be asked whether you are installing QuickBooks on the computer where the company file is located. multiuser, multi-user QuickBooks, setting up (recommended) , permissions, multi-user, .   6. To protect your company information from unauthorized access, Intuit recommends that you set up permissions.

In the recommended setup, to provide other QuickBooks users with continuous access to the company file, the computer that is hosting multi-user access must be left on. multiuser, multi-user QuickBooks, setting up (recommended) , permissions, multi-user, .
