When installing QuickBooks 2013 or QuickBooks Enterprise 13.0, the install wizard shows "Installing ABS PDF driver...", but the installation appears to hang and does not complete.
Since the release of the 2011 software, QuickBooks has utilized the Microsoft XPS driver to create all PDF’s from within QuickBooks.
However, applications within QuickBooks (Loan Manager, Cash Flow Projector and Business Planner) are unable to use the Microsoft XPS driver and require the additional installation of the Amyuni driver (ABS PDF Driver v400) to function properly.
Cancel the installation of QuickBooks, and perform the following:
Note: Although it appears that QuickBooks has not completed the installation, the point at which the install hangs is after the QuickBooks software has been successfully installed by the wizard.
