1099 Vendor Does Not Show On the 1099 Summary Report

When running a 1099 Summary Report, the vendor you selected for 1099 does not appear. Your Vendors, Accounts, and their thresholds must all be set up correctly to create 1099 reports and forms.
How to fix it

Intuit recommends several solutions for this problem. The first solution may solve your problem, or you may need to try all of them to resolve the issue. For best results, perform the solutions in the order shown.

Choose Reports > Vendors & Payables > 1099 Summary.

Solution 1: Use the 1099 Options drop-down to show Vendors that aren't 1099 Vendors:

  1. Click the first 1099 Options drop-down and select All vendors.
  2. If you see the Vendor you were looking for you need to make them a 1099 Vendor.
  3. When all your Vendors are fixed, click the first 1099 Options drop-down and select 1099 vendors.

Solution 2: Use the 1099 Options drop-down to show Accounts that aren't 1099 Accounts:

  1. Click the second 1099 Options drop-down and select All allowed accounts.
  2. If you see the Vendor you were looking for you need to find the Account and make it a 1099 Account.
    1. Double-click the amount in the Total column for your Vendor.
    2. In the 1099 Detail report make note of the Accounts in the Account column.
  3. For these transactions to show up on 1099 reports and forms, make them 1099 Accounts.
  4. When your Accounts are fixed, close the 1099 Detail report.
  5. Click the second 1099 Options drop-down and select Only 1099 accounts.

Solution 3: Use the 1099 Options drop-down to find thresholds to set:

  1. Click the third 1099 Options drop-down and select Ignore thresholds.
  2. If you see the Vendor, they have not met the threshold.
  3. If this is a 1099 Vendor using 1099 Accounts you'll need to enter more transactions or change the thresholds.

Solution 4: If you know there are transactions that aren't included, find the transaction and make sure they use 1099 Accounts:

  1. Choose Vendors > Vendor Center.
  2. Select your Vendor along the left side. Their transactions will display to the right.
  3. Change the filters if necessary.
  4. Double-click the transaction you are expecting to see on a 1099.
  5. Make sure the account is a 1099 account.
