Error OLSU-1016 or 1013, when you set up Online Banking or download transactions

When you set up Online Banking or download transactions you see one of the following errors:

  • OLSU 1013
  • OLSU 1016
Why this is happening

This may be caused by one of the following:

  • A problem at your bank (sometimes referred to as your financial institution or FI).
    • Their servers may be down.
    • They may have made changes to their name that require you to update it in QuickBooks.
    • They may have made changes regarding whether they allow either Web Connect or Direct Connect.
    • A request sent from QuickBooks must be accepted on the bank web site.
  • A problem with your internet connection.
  • A problem with one or more accounts in your company file.
  • Incompatibility with your version of Internet Explorer.
How to fix it

If you are not using Chain Bridge Bank or BB&T Banking and bill payment, please see Troubleshoot QuickBooks online banking issues and errors, including OL and OLSU errors.

Important: If you receive OLSU-1013 when you attempt to set up a Chain Bridge Bank Account, follow solution 1.

If you receive OLSU-1013 when you attempt to set up BB&T Banking and Bill Payment, follow solution 2.
