Company files opened on the hosting computer through a mapped drive can sometimes cause the
-6177, 0
message:
Check to see if your company file is mapped to a network drive:
- On your keyboard, press Windows
+ E to open the Computer window.
- If your company file folder appears in Network Locations or Network Devices, right-click the folder and select Properties.
- If you see Network Drive as the Type, this is a mapped drive.
- Open the company file through a local drive.
