Important: If you are attempting to open a file stored on an external drive or flash drive, copy the file to your hard drive and open it from there.

The following steps can be used if the QuickBooks File Doctor Tool does not run successfully on your computer or if you prefer a manual solution.
If you were unable to configure your firewall with the Connection Diagnostic tool and you still see the error, manually configure your firewall:
If you are unable to successfully prevent BitDefender from blocking QuickBooks communication, contact BitDefender Technical Support at: 800.388.8062 - option 2.
Note: If you have other Internet security software installed on your computer, you will need to exclude the Quickbooks program directories:
